I tried them all but nothing came close to Nikon's own product in terms of ease-of-use and functionality. Firstly, check, check, and check again if and how it will work with your Nikon camera.
Camera Control is a scaleable product in that the functionality of the software depends on what camera you have, and I've read reports that it might not work as described for some older Nikon products. I have a D and the software works great. I'm using it with a 5m USB extension lead to extend the length of the ridiculously short Nikon, cable so you'll probably need one of these too. For video production it's great as you can preview the film on your Mac, shoot and it will transfer the video automatically after recording.
